akaryon's responsibility within the project futuro also includes the communication of the scientific developments to the public. The active participation in the development of the calculation algorithm helped us to communicate the topic in different media.

We helped starting the project by conceptioning and implementing the website. Besides some informational sites we provided the login-section to offer the possiblity for participation to all interested people. Participation is anonymous and allows people to come back as often as they like. Participants can post their ideas, questions and contributions.

The website is connected to a database and allows evalutaion and calculation of data and display of graphics and tabs. Calculations can also be done.
the futuro folder about the first products: apple- and orange-juice

The folder shows the first futuro prices, calculated for apple- and orange juice. It gives some information about the algorithm and compares the prices to have a look at sustainability and compares the sustainable prices of apple and orange juices. akaryon worked both on the contents and carried out the layout of the production. A narrative style was chosen to address both adults and young people.

As an interim result and summary about the project so far the magazin 'sustainable austria' was realised in december 2004. There ist a broad look from the beginning (conception, proposal writing, planning of the participation) to the development of each step of the project and last but not least to the results already achieved.
akaryon particpated in all steps and supported the team in all questions.

Above all there had to be found a short but nevertheless clear presentation about the very complex futuro calculation algorithm.
